The 5th BIM World MUNICH, the leading networking platform in the German-speaking region for national and international players in digitization in the construction, real estate and infrastructure sectors, will take place on November 24 and 25, 2020 at the International Congress Center Munich – ICM.
With once again a greatly expanded event area, 200 exhibitors and over 200 speakers on 6 stages, BIM World MUNICH will impressively confirm its leading position in all aspects of digitization in the COVID-19-year 2020. The expansion of the area concept ensures the necessary distance and hygiene rules to protect the participants. The combination of physical event and online formats will ensure both the international reach and online availability of exhibitor and Congress topics beyond BIM World.

We are in the middle of the process of digitalization in the construction industry. The development and introduction of BIM technologies is of central importance here. We are proud that the BIM World has developed into a permanent institution in a very short time, bringing together software developers, researchers, educational institutions and all the players who implement these methods and solutions in one place.
This is demonstrated by the constantly growing number of visitors who come here to see concentrated and innovative solutions first-hand and live.
The strong interest of exhibitors and visitors, despite COVID-19, shows us that the concept of BIM World with its healthy mix of offerings is based on sustainability.
And we are also living up to our own claim of making a significant contribution to the promotion of new, young technologies in the start-up scene by once again offering and presenting an Innovation Award this year.

BIM World MUNICH Exhibition
The exhibition area of BIM World MUNICH shows on two levels and additional hall all key players of the industry as well as numerous innovative startups.
The highlights of the exhibition program include new disruptive construction IT and IoT technologies for sensor-based construction and operation, BIM and sustainable construction, BIM and GIS, BIM and digital construction site, BIM visualization (VR/AR, 3D etc.), cloud-based BIM solutions, innovative solutions for smart buildings, as well as the best practice of digital planning tools and smart construction technologies. A dedicated showcase area will showcase the new theme “BIM 2 Machine” in a world premiere.
The new, extensive meeting area in the foyer allows participants to exchange ideas and information together – from business matchmaking to the conclusion of contracts in an undisturbed atmosphere – while observing the rules of distance.
The hybrid approach of the event can also be found in the online exhibition. During and after the event, the exhibition stands, and exhibition products will also be available online with the possibility of interaction.

The new BIM STUDIO format offers the possibility to communicate the core topics of the industry 365 days a year. Since June 2020, live and on demand broadcasts have been produced from the company’s own studio and this service is also available exclusively to all customers, partners, and visitors at BIM World MUNICH 2020. From webinars, panel discussions to product presentations, the BIM STUDIO channel offers a perfect visual platform for gathering information and promoting our partners and exhibitors.
During BIM World MUNICH from November 24th – 25th., all stages will also be broadcast live and made available on various BIM STUDIO channels. The BIM World Innovation Hotspot: BIM TOWN
The BIM Town is the Innovation Area of the BIM World. The BIM Town is the leading international platform for networking of start-ups, scale-ups, SMEs, and R&D teams with companies in the construction industry and investors.
In the BIM Town exhibition, innovators showcase their products and services for, for example, facility management, smart construction, or geospatial technologies. On the BIM Town Innovation Stage, more than 50 start-ups are on the program over two days. The winners of the Construction Tech Program of Deutsche Bahn’s Startup Hubs will also be there.
Smart Building / Smart Construction Innovation World Cup®
The highlight of the program on the BIM Town Stage will be the semi-final of the Smart Building / Smart Construction Innovation World Cup®. The internationally leading Open Innovation Program of the construction industry shows which innovations in the four areas Construction, Real Estate, Smart City & Environment will cause a sensation. In the semifinals, around 40 participants from around the world will present their innovative solutions on the BIM Town Stage.
The gripping finale will then take place on November 24 on Congress Stage 1 of the BIM World MUNICH.
