In our presentation, we will discuss the development and implementation of model-based cost estimation at various levels of detail. We began by addressing key questions such as: Which databases are trustworthy, and how can they be effectively linked with the model? We also explored whether this approach truly saves time and to what extent. We will highlight the challenges and solutions encountered during the evaluation phase and demonstrate how these insights have been integrated into our current processes. Additionally, we will share practical insights into our approach and provide hints on how we now use model-based methods to achieve more precise and efficient cost planning.
