Switzerland is the official partner country of BIM World MUNICH 2024, reflecting Switzerland’s increasing importance and commitment to the use of Building Information Modeling in its construction and architectural projects.
For many years, Swiss companies, planners and engineers have played a leading role in the use of BIM, particularly in the areas of public infrastructure, complex project management and sustainable construction.
The “BIMwood” project, which focuses on BIM-based planning processes in timber construction and is led by Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH), shows that sustainability plays a major role in Switzerland. And with the “greenBIM” programme from the Institute for Sustainability and Energy in Construction (INEB) at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW), sustainability aspects can be evaluated and optimized within the architect’s planning environment.
Switzerland is strongly committed to circular construction and has, for example, launched a charter that has been signed by twelve of the largest public and private building owners in Switzerland. The aim of this charter is to reduce non-renewable primary raw materials to 50% of the total mass by 2030, which would be possible through renovation instead of new buildings and a reduction in material consumption, among other things.
BIM World MUNICH is looking forward to the opening keynote of the congress by an official representative as well as the participation in the cross-trade expert panel “BIM4ALL” on day 1 of the event.
Presentations from our neighbouring country will enrich the congress programme with topics such as circular construction, pre-standardization and standardization. Best practice examples from the areas of CO2-neutral construction projects and healthcare will also show visitors how BIM and digitalization are being implemented in the industry in Switzerland.

Die Schweiz ist offizielles Partnerland der BIM World MUNICH 2024. Dies spiegelt die fortschreitende Bedeutung und das Engagement der Schweiz in der Verwendung von Building Information Modeling in ihren Bau- und Architekturprojekten wider.
Seit vielen Jahren nehmen schweizerische Firmen, Planer und Ingenieure eine führende Rolle in der Anwendung von BIM ein, vor allem in den Bereichen öffentliche Infrastruktur, komplexes Projektmanagement und nachhaltiges Bauen.
Dass das Thema Nachhaltigkeit eine große Rolle in der Schweiz spielt, zeigt u.a. das Projekt „BIMwood“, welches sich auf BIM-basierte Planungsprozesse im Holzbau fokussiert und von der Berner Fachhochschule (BFH) geleitet wird. Und mit dem Programm „greenBIM“ des Instituts für Nachhaltigkeit und Energie am Bau (INEB) der Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz (FHNW) können Nachhaltigkeitsaspekte innerhalb der Planungsumgebung des Architekten bewertet und optimiert werden.
Die Schweiz setzt sich maßgeblich für ein kreislauforientiertes Bauen ein und hat bspw. eine Charta ins Leben gerufen, welche von zwölf der größten öffentlichen und privaten Bauherren in der Schweiz unterzeichnet wurde. Ziel dieser Charta ist es, bis 2030 nicht erneuerbare Primärrohstoffe auf 50% der Gesamtmasse zu reduzieren, was u.a. durch Renovierung statt Neubauten und eine Reduzierung des Materialverbrauchs möglich wäre.
Die BIM World MUNICH freut sich auf die Eröffnungs-Keynote des Kongresses durch einen offiziellen Vertreter sowie die Teilnahme am Gewerke-übergreifenden Experten Panel „BIM4ALL“ am 1. Tag der Veranstaltung.
Mit Themen wie Zirkuläres Bauen sowie Vornormierung und Standardisierung werden Vorträge aus dem Nachbarland das Kongressprogramm bereichern. Auch Best Practice Beispiele aus den Bereichen CO2-neutrale Bauprojekte und Health Care werden den Besuchern vor Augen führen, wie in der Schweiz BIM und Digitalisierung in der Branche umgesetzt wird.
