Saving ≥20 mEUR with ISO 19650 and Novorender – A case study of the Norwegian national rail owner, Bane NOR
Description
Norway has among the most digitized construction industries in the world with e.g., extensive BIM requirements within buildings, road, and rail, and an impressive ~50% BIM project penetration rate. The national infrastructure asset owners including Bane NOR have set ambitious targets and project requirements on BIM, driving great strides in eliminating 2D drawings, embracing open formats, and most recently implementing ISO 19650. In this presentation, you will hear how the Norwegian national rail owner, Bane NOR, has successfully piloted ISO 19650 with Novorender and achieved game-changing results on the Nygårdstangen Bergen-Fløen project: saving ≥20 mEUR, compressing timelines by ~40%, and reducing railroad track closure from 6 months to just 8 weeks. Furthermore, you will hear how Bane NOR is implementing ISO 19650 with Novorender as its platform and how it is now stress testing their approach on the landmark Arna-Stanghelle joint road/rail project – which includes more than 80 kilometers of rail and road.
